In my opinion a much nicer application than it's successor. It is or was capable of including ITunes directories in it's scope and of sending music files to all sorts of devices ... Different brand mobile phones , FiLo music players . The Music Centre is much more restricted.
The Network Downloader is a part of the whole Media Go Package and can't be installed separately (as I understand). The version number is not the same as the Media Go number and is flagged erroneously as not up-to-date! Even in newest Media Go 2.8, the Network Downloader has version number 1.5.
